Our home in the Los Angeles Arts District is both brewery and canvas, the center of a revival for the city’s artists, musicians, hustlers, and craftspeople. It’s an LA that’s as ambitious as it is diverse — and our beer is no exception.

Angel City Brewing was founded in 1997. Starting modestly, Angel City quickly became a leader in the LA craft beer scene. In 2004 Angel City bought an 8,000 barrel German-made brewery in Alpine Village near Los Angeles on EBay! and lovingly restored the facility. In late 2010, Angel City relocated the brewery to the historic John A. Roebling Building in LA’s Downtown Arts District. The vision was, and remains, to give this great city a great brewery.

One of the standout features of Angel City Brewery is its focus on community and sustainability. The brewery hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including trivia nights, live music, and charity fundraisers. They also have a public art program that invites street artists to paint murals on the brewery’s exterior walls. Additionally, the brewery is committed to using sustainable practices in their brewing process and have implemented a number of initiatives to reduce their environmental impact.

The brewery’s taproom is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The taproom is open daily and offers a rotating selection of beers on tap, as well as growler and can fills to go. The taproom also features a small kitchen that serves snacks and sandwiches. The taproom also features a number of games like corn hole, ping pong and other games to keep visitors entertained.

Angel City Brewery has received numerous accolades for their beers, including gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. The brewery has also been recognized for its commitment to sustainability, winning awards from organizations such as the Los Angeles County Green Business Certification program.
