DESCRIPTION:MONDAY – Long Beach\n\n\nJoin our celebration as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr for this year’s day of service with Leadership Long Beach! \n\n\n\n\nFor the 14th year\, Leadership Long Beach and our partners will bring together our alumni and volunteers from across Long Beach for the National Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Over the years\, thousands of volunteers have completed dozens of community service projects\, growing the Long Beach MLK Day of Service into the largest MLK service day in LA County. \nPlease share this opportunity with family\, friends\, and community groups to join us in “Making it a Day On\, Not a Day Off.” \n\n\n \n\n\nThe Day starts with a Kick-Off! \n\n\n\n\nOur day begins at MLK Park\, 1950 Lemon Ave\, Long Beach\, CA 90806 starting at 8:00 AM  for the kick-off event to come together as a community and celebrate the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. \nEnjoy pancakes\, learn about our event’s impact\, and bring your friends!\n\n \nThe 100+ hour Leadership Long Beach Institute program is offered annually from August through June. The program provides principled leadership development class sessions that emphasize integrity\, vision\, personal responsibility\, commitment\, and community trusteeship.
