DESCRIPTION:Black History Month celebration\, book signing\, speakers\, art\, music\, entertainment and fun. Pacoima Historical Society – The Museum SFV\n\n\nOn Sunday\, February 19th\, the Pacoima Historical Society is collaborating with The \nMuseum of the San Fernando Valley to present a Black History Month celebration. \nBoth organizations are inviting valley residents to come experience the visual and oral \nhistory of African Americans in the San Fernando Valley. \n\nThe event will feature music from local bands and artists\, with DJ/MC Eric Stewart \nhosting the festivities. There will be large photo exhibits\, vendors\, and food. It promises \nto be a fun and enlightening time for all. \n\nNewly elected Los Angeles Mayor\, Karen Bass*\, is one of the invited special guests. \nGuest speakers also include USC Football legend Anthony Davis*\, who was an All- \nAmerican at San Fernando High School and member of the 1965 North Valley Broncos\, \nthe first all-Black baseball team to advance to the Little League World Series. \n\nIn addition\, author and historian Crystal Jackson will deliver an in-depth presentation on \nthe untold African American history of the San Fernando Valley.
