The trail will take us to up to the Bluff where there are restrooms and water fountains. This 2021 Season we will be debuting the Hummingbird trail (Park to Playa trail + Bowl loop)\, which is more flat and takes you through a beautiful hummingbird garden. Both hikes will be about 40-45 minutes. \n​ \nWhat if I only want to do the yoga class\, what is the easiest way to get to yoga at 9 am? \nYou can pay $7 cash for parking\, enter at the La Cienega entrance\, and park right by the Burke Roche picnic area/restrooms. Walk about 2 minutes down the Bluff to the 9/11 Memorial Tree. \n​ \nWho will be teaching the yoga classes? Will the classes be beginner-friendly? \nWe have an awesome team of Hike to Yoga LA Yoga Teachers\, including Hike to Yoga LA Founder\, Laurie\, who enjoys teaching her signature Yoga Wave Circle!\nOur teacher team is diverse in age and body-type\, and are ready to inspire you with community\, nature and of course\, yoga!\nYoga class is 60 minutes long\, starts promptly at 9 am. DESCRIPTION:EVERY SATURDAY- Long Beach     \n\nWelcome to El Dorado Archers! El Dorado Archers is a Southern California archery club that competes at local and national tournaments but also maintains a local community program that teaches the basics of archery to the public. \n \nThe El Dorado Park Archery Fields are a great way for the community to learn about and to practice archery. The El Dorado Archers welcomes all family members 8 years of age and older! If you are interested in learning about archery\, the El Dorado Archers have classes for beginners every Saturday at the El Dorado Park Archery Field. Everyone is first required to take a Safety Class\, which costs $5 and runs from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. every weekend and sign up starts at 8:30 a.m. \n\nA $5 class fee will be charged regardless of using  personal equipment. Club Members are exempt from this fee. \n\n\n\nSATURDAY COMMUNITY ARCHERY CLASS SCHEDULE:\n$5 class fee per person\, cash only \nPlease see our CLASSES page for instructions \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQUESTIONS?\nQ: I have a large group of scouts\, students\, birthday party\, etc. Can you help us?\nA: We are not offering any private instruction at this time. We are currently asking that scout based programs attend our safety class to meet their scout requirments. \nNote: We can only accommodate groups occasionally and only on Saturdays as that is our chartered range time with the city. \nQ: Do I have to take the Archery Safety Class first?\nA: Yes\, for your safety and everyone else\, it is important to complete our safety class so you are aware of the range rules.  Please refer to our CLASSSES Page on how to sign up. \nQ: Even if I have shot before?\nA: Yes\, if you want to participate in the club’s classes.  However\, if you have your own equipment\, you can shoot on the grass field. \nQ: Are archery classes held on any other day?\nA: No\, we only offer classes on Saturday. \n \nQ: Can I shoot at the park by myself?\nA: Yes\, if you have your own equipment\, you can shoot on the targets permanently set up on the grass field during park hours only. DESCRIPTION:SPECIAL EXHIBITION AT THE BROAD: MAY 21 – SEPTEMBER 25\, 2022\nFeaturing over twenty artists\, the special exhibition This Is Not America’s Flag spotlights the myriad ways artists explore the symbol of the flag of the United States of America\, underscoring its vast\, divergent\, and complex meanings. \nTitled after Alfredo Jaar’s iconic 1987 work\, A Logo for America\, This Is Not America’s Flag provides a critical discourse on the symbol’s meaning\, the complexity and contradictions of contemporary national identity\, and artists as active citizens. \nThe exhibition was developed conceptually in the summer of 2020 during the groundswell of activism for racial justice in the wake of the murders of George Floyd\, Ahmaud Arbery\, and Breonna Taylor and was inspired by two works in the Broad collection\, Flag (1967) by Jasper Johns and African-American Flag (1990) by David Hammons. \nThis Is Not America’s Flag presents works from over twenty artists including Laura Aguilar\, Nicole Eisenman\, Jeffrey Gibson\, Jaar\, and Johns\, as well as African-American Flag (1990) by Hammons acquired by The Broad in 2019 and America (2021) by Hank Willis Thomas\, acquired last year. The exhibition includes works that both embrace the flag as the signifier of the nation and its ideals and subvert it to express injustices and inequities woven into the fabric of the U.S.\, past\, and present. \n\nHighlighted Artwork\nAmerica\nHank Willis Thomas\n2021\nMixed media including US flags\n \n  \nAfrican-American Flag\n\nDavid Hammons\n\n\n1990\n\n\ndyed cotton\n\n\n59 x 92 1/4 in. DESCRIPTION:NOW OPEN  FRIDAY – SUNDAY- Griffith Park\nGriffith Observatory is a free-admission facility located on the south side of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. The building and grounds are accessible for all visitors. The building is busiest on weekends\, during summer and holiday periods\, and at sunset. \n\nGriffith Observatory’s grounds and roads are generally open the same hours as Griffith Park\, 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.\, every day. Access to Griffith Park is free\, though there is paid parking closest to the Observatory. There are public restrooms located next to the Observatory parking lot. Trailheads on Observatory grounds lead to Mount Hollywood\, the Greek Theatre area\, and Fern Dell. \n\n\nDaily Programs\n\nSamuel Oschin Planetarium\n\n\nOur most prominent daily programs are the shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium\, With its spectacular Zeiss star projector\, digital projection system\, state-of-the-art aluminum dome\, comfy seats\, sound system\, and theatrical lighting\, the 290-seat Samuel Oschin Planetarium theater is the finest planetarium in the world. Every show is presented by a live\, engaging storyteller\, and one of our three current shows is offered every 60 to 90 minutes each day the Observatory is open. \n\nPublic Telescopes\nthe Observatory offers many other stellar experiences while you visit. During the day\, you can see the live image of the Sun on our coelostat (solar telescope) in the Ahmanson Hall of the Sky. DESCRIPTION:OPEN DAILY- The Annenberg Community Beach House \nThe Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica State Beach is a public facility located on 5 acres of oceanfront property. With spectacular views\, splash pad\, playground\, gallery\, Marion Davies Guest House\, beach courts & fields\, community & cultural events\, historic pool\, free wi-fi\, and more\, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! \n  \n \nSPLASH PAD\nThe Splash Pad is a water feature that shoots water out of the ground and is very popular with small children.\nThe courtyard and splash pad will open daily May – October\, 9am-4pm. \n  \n \nChildren’s Playground\nThere is a children’s playground featuring swings\, climbing play-sets\, and of course a sandy area to play. There are benches\, chairs\, and tables for adults to sit while the kids play.  \n\n\nBeach Soccer & Volleyball Courts\nYou may reserve beach soccer or volleyball courts 4 weeks in advance for $10/hour during the summer pool season. Beach court and field reservations are intended for individual or small party use only. Reservations are not required for court or field use. Courts without reservations are available on a first-come first-served basis for free. Nets are adjustable and may be lowered for beach tennis play.  \n \nThe Annenberg Beach House Grounds\nThe grounds are open to all\, no membership required.\nGrounds include playground\, beach areas\, and courts. \n  \nBack on the Beach Cafe\nNestled on a wide stretch of sandy beach\, Back on the Beach Café offers appetizing meals featuring local and seasonal cuisine with breathtaking views of ocean\, mountain\, pier\, and Catalina Island. Generations of Angelinos have been coming to our landmark restaurant since 1989. Both indoor & outdoor seating is available along with extensive catering services and event planning. The parking is usually open from 7am – 9pm during summer time\, and till 7pm or 8pm on other months.  \nIf the Beach House lot is full\, additional parking lots 8 & 9 (south) and Will Rogers State Beach (north) are within walking distance. The bike path connects these lots to the Beach House on the ocean side.
