With spectacular views\, splash pad\, playground\, gallery\, Marion Davies Guest House\, beach courts & fields\, community & cultural events\, historic pool\, free wi-fi\, and more\, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! \n  \n \nSPLASH PAD\nThe Splash Pad is a water feature that shoots water out of the ground and is very popular with small children.\nThe courtyard and splash pad will open daily May – October\, 9am-4pm. \n  \n \nChildren’s Playground\nThere is a children’s playground featuring swings\, climbing play-sets\, and of course a sandy area to play. There are benches\, chairs\, and tables for adults to sit while the kids play.  \n\n\nBeach Soccer & Volleyball Courts\nYou may reserve beach soccer or volleyball courts 4 weeks in advance for $10/hour during the summer pool season. Beach court and field reservations are intended for individual or small party use only. Reservations are not required for court or field use. Courts without reservations are available on a first-come first-served basis for free. The weekly event is celebration of Black culture\, art\, music and dance. \n\n  \n \n\nWeekly crowds come to support Black owned businesses and try the flavors from around the globe. The village is one of the most prominent Black cultural spaces in Los Angeles\, and it is a symbol of Black life in this city. \n  \n \n\n\nEverySunday from 3:00pm until dusk the African beats of the drums can be heard throughout the neighborhood. Drummers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate in this exciting community event. Leimert Park has been a meeting place for the people of Los Angeles for at least since the early 80s. \nThe drum circles feature musical styles from across the African continent\, with local drummers join with others coming from various parts of Africa\, Latin America\, the Caribbean islands. Chace Park is a stunning destination in the Marina. Jutting out into the main channel\, it offers one of the best viewing areas of the harbor with water views on three sides. Hit the flat\, paved walking path along the perimeter a morning walk\, or relax on a bench to watch the sunset. The park is wheelchair and stroller accessible. \n \nVIRTUAL TOUR\n \nCovered picnic pavilions and a smattering of uncovered tables\, all with barbecue access\, make for a great family gathering. Picnic Pavilion A and an indoor multipurpose room are available to reserve by calling the park office at 424-526-7903. All other tables are first come\, first served. Gatherings of 50 people or more need to contact the park office for an event permit. \n \nBurton Chace Park is the site of many community events and festivals\, including the Old Fashioned Day in May\, the Summer Concert Series in July and August\, Marina Spooktacular in October\, and Marina Lights in December. They work hard to try and recreate a vintage Queen concert show format. The presentation is meant to be realistic\, authentic\, and reminiscent of an early arena rock show honoring and paying homage to Freddie Mercury\, arguably one of the greatest lead performers\, and the band Queen\, who are unquestionably one of the greatest rock bands of all time. We hope you enjoy the show as you will hear them perform Queen’s timeless arena rock classics such as “Bohemian Rhapsody”\, “Fat Bottomed Girls”\, “Somebody To Love”\, “We Will Rock You”\, “We Are The Champions”\, and many more. \n\n\n\n\n\nJoker’s Hand\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFormed in 2017 by Kevin Kawano and Matt Lau\, Joker’s Hand has catapulted themselves into the Los Angeles music scene with their explosive live performances. Kawano and Lau\, both first generation Asian-Americans\, seamlessly fuse together punk\, alternative and elements of hip hop to create a fresh sound that reaches across the generational divide. \nJoker’s Hand released their latest DP\, “Seeing Red\,” in February 2023 through Wiretap Records  The EP’s lead single “Danny Phantom\,” landed on KROQ’s Locals Only where it currently remains in rotation. Their second single off of the EP\, “You’re Why I Don’t Sleep at Night” also received radio play upon release. \nThe band is currently touring again with recent performances in Arizona and Texas.
