Fill out this form and we’ll look up that information. \n\nLA Teen’Scape\n \nTeen’Scape is the young adult department at the Central Library\, providing teens with a place of their own to work on computers\, study\, read\, and relax. \nTeen’Scape has a group study area\, and more than two dozen computers where teens can do research on library databases\, work on homework\, or access the internet. DESCRIPTION:EVERY THURSDAY 12:30–1:00PM- Online via ZOOM. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWould you like to learn how to meditate? Join the Hammer Museum each Thursday for Mindful Awareness Meditation Online. Mindfulness Meditation is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing one’s physical\, mental\, and emotional experiences. Mindfulness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress\, improve attention\, boost the immune system\, reduce emotional reactivity\, and promote a general sense of health and well-being. These half hour weekly sessions are open to all who are interested in learning how to live more presently in life. No special clothing is required\, and participants are welcome to join for five minutes or enjoy the entire 30 minutes.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThese free weekly drop-in sessions usually take place in the Hammer’s Billy Wilder Theater but are now offered live online via Zoom. \nMindful Awareness Meditation is provided by UCLA & The Hammer Museum\n  \nff \n\nSessions are led by Diana Winston and other instructors from the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. With a seemingly endless supply of activities\, National Geographic Kids offers quality learning experiences for kids thanks to its compelling content\, which should interest a variety of ages. \n  \n \nAt National Geographic KIDS online\nyou’ll find games\, videos\, fun facts from other countries and cool information about animals and pets! \n  \n \n  \nOne of publishing’s greatest resources\, now online for kids.\nGrade Level: Pre-K-2\, 3-5\, 6-8. Stunning photos and in-depth stories of Earth’s peoples and wildlife \n  \n \n\nWhile National Geographic Kids is a fantastic resource for students to explore their interests and follow their curiosity. Administrators approve all photos that kids upload to their site profiles and the My Shot photo gallery\, and comments also require approval\, which helps prevent bad language and other issues. Kids will need a paid subscription to access certain items on the site.
