SUMMARY:Mocha Girls Read
DESCRIPTION:EVERY FIRST SATURDAY- Community Center in the Baldwin Hills Mall\nWelcome to Mocha Girls Read book club. Mocha Girls Read is a book club for Black women who love to read\, want to read more and meet like-minded women. We are here to inspire women to read\, share literature\, fellowship\, and encourage others in the joy of reading. We meet at the Community Center in the Baldwin Hills Mall (1st Floor) on the first Saturday of the month. We are an eclectic group of women and so are our reading selections. We don’t limit our reading to release dates\, gender\, race or genre.  So glad you’re here! \nThe Mocha Girls Read Story\nAfter looking all over the internet for a book club\, I found two and joined them both.  They were really great and I have made a few new friends from them.  But I noticed one thing about both of them…I was the only black\, woman of color\, African-American\, mocha girl in the clubs.  I thought about this for a while and finally said to myself\, “Self\, there has got to be some sistas in LA who like to read.” \nSo Mocha Girls Read was born. \n  \n \n\nWhat is a Mocha Girl?\nWell\, she is a woman of color\, who loves to read.  She reads all kinds of books.  Fiction\, Non-fiction\, Dystopain Novels\, Chick Lit\, you name it she has read it or is going to read it.  A Mocha Girl does not limit herself to books by women only\, or by authors from her race.  A  Mocha Girl loves a good story with a healthy dose of page-turning excitement. \nSince our first meeting\, we have grown to include new chapters across California\, Philadelphia\, Arizona\, Minnesota\, Maryland\, Indiana\, Virginia\, and New York.  If you want to be a Mocha Girl Read member just go to the Join Us link and join us anytime.  (By the way\, you don’t have to be in LA to be a book club member.) \nTake a minute or two and roam around the site.  Here you will find information about book club meetings\, giveaways\, a monthly newsletter\, and of course books. \nKeep the pages turning! \n  \nTo join this group \nSIGN UP ON MEET UP\n  \n\nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nhttps://www.mochagirlsread.com/\n \n  \nFind more \n \n \n \n \n \n \n
