Take a glimpse at the great costume parties Davies hosted\, which included guests like Clark Gable and Greta Garbo. And learn about the transformation of the landmarked Guest House and pool\, which survive as the historic core of the estate today. \n \nTOURS ARE ON FRIDAY\, SATURDAY\, SUNDAY\, MONDAY AT 12:00 pm TO 2:00 pm\nSanta Monica Conservancy docents will be on hand to share the rich history of the Beach House site from the 1920s onward. \n\nFree 20-minute docent tours are available on a walk-up basis\, for groups of up to six people. Just head to the Marion Davies Guest House where you will be greeted by a docent. \nPlease mask up\, masks are required indoors at City of Santa Monica facilities. Please do not visit if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. \n*Hours are subject to change with a short notice from October through May. Please check the website calendar or call 310-458-4904 to confirm dates and closures. \n\n\nGALLERY\n \nStop by the Beach House for Art Bank: Selected Works from the City of Santa Monica Art Collection and view pieces by standout artists from Southern California and further afield. Paintings\, prints\, photography\, and sculpture join public art project maquettes and preparatory drawings for an eclectic mix of style and subject. The Art Bank municipal art collection was instituted in 1984 to bring art into Santa Monica’s public spaces and is funded through the City of Santa Monica’s Percent for Art Program. \n\n \n415 Pacific Coast Highway\, Santa Monica\, CA\, 90402  \n  \n \nYear-round\, enjoy a varied schedule of cultural programs\, classes\, and recreational amenities. The site is fully accessible\, including a pool lift and beach wheelchair. \nDuring the summer\, explore amenities and programs including summer-inspired classes and the pool. Annual events include the Community Picnic and Cardboard Yacht Regatta. Reservations are available – though not required – for the canopies and beach courts. Beach courts reservations are available year-round. \nFall\, winter\, and spring offer more contemplative programming including Audubon Society Bird Walks\, Happy Birthday Marion! and Julia Morgan Legacy Tours.  This time of year also provides ample opportunity for businesses\, organizations\, and individuals to rent event spaces for meetings and special events.  The site is also available for commercial film and photo shoots. Pop Up Pool Days may be scheduled around holiday weekends depending on weather and event bookings. \nTHINGS TO KNOW \n\nThe Annenberg Comunity Beach House is a public site\, open to all. No membership or reservations are required!\nThe grounds including the playground\, beach courts and fields\, beach access\, and the parking lot are open daily.\nThe public spaces including the courtyard\, splash pad\, and sandy areas open daily excluding select holidays\, and are first-come\, first-served with no charge to access. Reservations are not available for these areas\nTables\, chairs\, and umbrellas are available for use in the courtyard\, splash pad\, & view deck\nThe pool is open daily during the summer\, with select weekends in late spring and early fall. The pool is closed for the season from October through May. See pool schedule and admission fees.\nReservable canopies in the sand are available during the summer through Reserve Santa Monica.\nYear-round\, guests are welcome to bring their own canopy\, tables\, and chairs to set up in the sandy areas. SUMMARY:The Venice Run Club
DESCRIPTION:EVERY WEEK\, EVERY RUN\, EVERY BODY- Santa Monica & Venice\nThe Venice Run Club is the heartbeat of Venice. A community of runners here to better ourselves and our community. Come run with us. \n48 for Change\nWith the combination of a global pandemic and civil unrest around racial injustice\, June of 2020 set the stage for important societal and human issues to finally come to light in a more permanent way. This was the same time that two friends\, Justin and Tyler\, decided they wanted to take action to make a difference in the injustices and inequality we see in our communities. \n  \n\n\n\nThe week of George Floyd’s passing\, Justin called Tyler voicing his frustration from Floyd’s murder and subsequent reactions\, and they joined forces to do a running challenge that very weekend that entailed running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. A GoFundMe was set up to collect funds from friends and family throughout the running challenge to donate to help support racial justice. \nWhat started as a way to take the mind off of the pressure cooker of injustice resulted in a massively successful and attention-grabbing fundraiser\, and eventually turned into a 501(c)3 nonprofit\, still strong and growing today: 48 For Change. \nAside from fundraising and donating\, Justin found that the community that gathered to run that weekend was something special\, and needed its own spotlight. A place where anyone can come and simply run with a group of good people.
