DESCRIPTION:Calling all Californians!\nYou can now check out a FREE vehicle day-use pass at your local public library.\n\n\nWhat?\nCA State Library Parks Pass are now available FREE from your neighborhood CA library. In partnership with the First Partner’s Office and the California State Library\, State Parks are providing free vehicle day-use entry to over 200 participating state park units operated by State Parks for check out to library-card holders. The California State Library Parks Pass is valid for entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle. \n\n\n\n  \n  \n\n\n\nWho?\nCalifornia public library-card holders can check out the State Library Parks Pass via their local public library. If you don’t have a library card\, visit your local library to get one. The library card and park pass are free! \n\n\n  \n \n\n\nHow?\nEach library location will receive passes\, including mobile libraries\, for checkout by library patrons. Library patrons will be able to check out the pass for the allotted number of days allowed by the local library. Check with your library for guidelines and policies for returning your pass. Find your local public library at library.ca.gov/branches. The passes are not available at the California State Library\, nor do you need a special card to check them out. Classes will take place in person and via Zoom. \nWatercolor Schedule Change – Wednesdays\, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm \n*Registration is required and is available on a first-come\, first-serve basis. \nTo register email chacepark@bh.lacounty.gov. \nNOTE: Students must be 14 years or older to participate in this class. In-person classes are limited to 10 students. \n  \n\nBURTON CHACE PARK\n13650 Mindanao Way\, Marina Del Rey\, CA 90292 \n  \nThis beautiful 10-acre Burton W. Chace Park is a stunning destination in the Marina. Jutting out into the main channel\, it offers one of the best viewing areas of the harbor with water views on three sides. Hit the flat\, paved walking path along the perimeter a morning walk\, or relax on a bench to watch the sunset. The park is wheelchair and stroller accessible. \n \nVIRTUAL TOUR\n \nCovered picnic pavilions and a smattering of uncovered tables\, all with barbecue access\, make for a great family gathering. Picnic Pavilion A and an indoor multipurpose room are available to reserve by calling the park office at 424-526-7903. All other tables are first come\, first served. Gatherings of 50 people or more need to contact the park office for an event permit. \n \nBurton Chace Park is the site of many community events and festivals\, including the Old Fashioned Day in May\, the Summer Concert Series in July and August\, Marina Spooktacular in October\, and Marina Lights in December.
