SUMMARY:Carbon Lounge: SUNDAY BUMPs & JAMz
DESCRIPTION:FREE ALL NIGHT!- Culver City\nCarbon Lounge in Culver City! presents BUMPS & JAMZ with DJ OnTheCLOCK’s EVERY SUNDAY\, No Cover Hip Hop House Party! \n\nEVERY SUNDAY\n\nGreat DJ’s\,\n  \n \nTop Shelf Bar\nFree Entry\, Free Parking\, \n  \nBUMPs & JAMz Hours\nEvery Sundays: 9:00pm – 2:00am \n\n\nCarbon Lounge- 9300 Venice Blvd Culver City\, CA 90232\n\nCarbon Lounge is a fun\, local\, and energetic bar in Downtown Culver City spinning different music 7-days a week. The vibe was real chill and the music was always poppin’! You could tell the DJ was giving us his best because he was dj’n like it was a Saturday night!\n\n\n \nThe venue is small but kind of open since it has two entrances. It is really dark too so don’t expect to be able to see much while you’re in there. \n\n\nWhat are people saying about Carbon on Yelp?\nThis place was a nice vibe with music you could really dance to you. The demographic was diverse and I could always love a diverse crowd- Alexis G. Perth Amboy\, NJ \nI come here when I want a ghetto ass place to get a stiff drink and shake my ass in a dive bar. Drinks have gotten a little pricey but they’re spicy. Appreciate the dicey atmosphere within steps of boujee downtown Culver City. Music late nights and they’re not open until late (9 is late for my old ass). Directly across from in n out on Venice or walk through the alley behind the east side of Main st in Culver City toward Venice Blvd.- Jen A. Culver City\, CA \nSo I came here not knowing what to expect. I usually go to parties and clubs in OC or dance festivals. I’m 47 years old and single guy btw.\nTo make it short\, the minute I got there I was approached by 2 extremely attractive white blonde girls. Unfortunately I found out one of them wasn’t even of legal age. But the other girl was. We danced and drank and all. We exchanged numbers and she actually called me.\nThis never happened to me in 33 years of going to clubs (yes I did go clubbing and drinking at the age of 14 when I lived in Germany…don’t know how I’m still alive and work for one of the most exciting and innovative companies on the planet lol.)\nSo yeah… go there. You won’t get disappointed. A LOT OF WHITE GIRLS WHO LIKE MINORITIES GO THERE. So much so that this place has more white chicks than guys lol- Alireza S. SUMMARY:TONIGHT @ 1720- Daft Punk and Friends Tribute Party
DESCRIPTION:TONIGHT @ 9-2am –  DTLA\nJoin us tonight at 1720\,  \n\n\n\nDaft Punk and Friends Tribute Party\nThu\, Dec 7\, 9:00 PM\nPlaying the classics\, french electro\, indie-dance\, disco\, and More! 🤖 \n\n\n\n\nThis is an 18+ event.\n\n\nPresented by 1720.\n\n\nNo Covid-19 entry requirements\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n1720 E. 16th Street\, Los Angeles\, CA 90021 \n \n1720\, named after its address\, 1720 E. 16th St.\, is a music venue that is like a neighborhood secret. \n \n \nLatticework of brick buildings and fortresses protected by barbed-wire fences. One of the owners described it as \n“a pre-gentrified war zone of the Warehouse District”.\n \nThe space\, in a former garment factory\, is the brainchild of principals Alex Alereza\, Powell\, and Travis Richter. L.A.’s premier party-throwers\, the Brownies and Lemonade crew\, christened the venue late last year\, and now 1720’s calendar is quickly filling up with a variety of genres from the underground to the mainstream. \n \n \nSleekly designed (by Brant Ritter) but still keeping a warehouse feel\, the 700-capacity venue comes with niceties that belie its neighborhood: There’s a state-of-the-art L’Acoustics sound system\, a triptych by artist Nick Knudson on the wall and au courant bar (Matthew Blackburn) and kitchen (Felix Barron) menus. \n \nThe space and its location reflect the experiences of the ownership triumvirate — thirtysomething musicians who have plied their trade in metal bands such as the Human Abstract\, From First to Last\, and Nekrogoblikon. Richter explains that the idea of a venue first arose when the trio started throwing parties (including one for Skrillex) in an office space occupied by Nekrogoblikon’s record label. “From there\,” he says\, “we went on a mission to build a fully fleshed-out music venue in a warehouse. \n \n1720 was no overnight project. Rehabbing the warehouse took well over a year\, with the trio slowly clearing the predictable hurdles of “construction and permitting [and] making sure everything was really legit\,” Richter says. “We all grew up with parents who owned businesses\, so we had shoulders to lean on and ask questions. But we’ve been to so many events and thrown concerts and done headline tours\, so the rigmarole of running a venue is second nature to us. But learning about construction and code compliance was all new. And you have to really stay on it and the codes are constantly updating\, so it’s a lot of work for the operational side.” \n \nUnlike many traditional music venues\, 1720 can change personalities according to whether it is being used for a party or for live music. \n\nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nhttps://1720.la/\n \n  \nFind more

SUMMARY:Good Times at Davey Wayne's
DESCRIPTION:EVERY SUNDAY – Hollywood\nGood Times at Davey Wayne’s in Hollywood presents Strange Hotels\, every Sunday night.  Featuring 70’s DJ sets\, an energetic and charismatic host\, and a live performance by Strange Hotels\, it’s a whole ass vibe. \n  \n \nStrange Hotels- Indie- Electro Rock Duo\nOpening to a buzzing crowd of all ages\, cultures\, and persuasions–in an eclectic industrial atmosphere complete with burlesque dancers\, smoke machines\, and incense – the barefoot duo delivered an energetic set of life and synthesized dance sound and know-how-to to keep their audience engaged. Their continuous energetic\, driven show resulted in a bumper-to-bumper dance floor as they performed to a packed house of diverse\, die-hard hipster fans. \n \n\nAfter touring for years as a part of Portland’s iconic touring band The Lower 48\, cousins Ben Braden and Nick Sadler formed their indie-electro duo Strange Hotels in early 2018\, and within weeks of forming the duo\, they had the opportunity to open for Billie Eilish and Finneas at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland. Their songs have also been featured in several TV shows including Shameless\, Viceʼs King Of The Road\, and Conan O’Brien’s Needs a Friend.  They have described Strange Hotels as the most collaborative project they have been a part of and are a sonic blend of dance\, R&B\, vintage pop\, and indie rock.  They have taken a very DIY approach to record their songs\, recording and producing their music solely on iPads.  This allowed them to record in Airbnb’s and apartment studios on the road and\, as a result\, they released their debut and well-received EP Mixtape in January of 2018. They moved to Los Angles in 2019 and booked a residency at their favorite club\, booked other gigs\, and wrote a new batch of songs\, releasing their second EP\, Mixtape II\, at the end of 2019.  Going through some hard times during the pandemic and shutdowns in the music industry\, with things having opened back up\, they have been staying busy!   They recently released their latest single “Teen Dream Fantasy”\, a dreamy hit that strikes a chord of nostalgia with uplifting and energetic production\, captivating synth work\, and a stellar groove\, produced by The Strokes’ producer Gordon Raphael. \n\n \n1611 North El Centro Avenue\, Los Angeles\, CA 90028 \n \nDavid Wayne Houston\, father to Mark and Jonnie Houston\, was a blue-collar pool shark who enjoyed late nights in his garage building and fixing things–some of the brothers’ best memories. SUMMARY:Milk Crate Mondays
DESCRIPTION:EVERY MONDAY- Chinatown\nVinyl Dance Party every Monday at Melody Lounge! All Vinyl. All Night. All Vibes.\nHip Hop | R&B | Soul | Funk | Classics \nNeedle Drops at 9:00 PM\nResident DJs: DP SOUND CREW \n  \n \n\n \nChinatown\, 939 N Hill St.\, Los Angeles\, CA 90012 \n \nThere’s something to be said for inner beauty. Yes\, even when it comes down to the interior of a small and unassuming drinkery in the middle of Chinatown\, it truly is what’s on the inside that counts. Melody Lounge\, located off of N Hill Street\, right off the 110\, and within walking distance of Dodger Stadium\, invites you in with a modest\, yet charming exterior. A quiet entryway welcomes you through the door into a low-key hideaway ridden with an array of superb cocktails and a collection of craft beers that will make your head spin. \n \nOnce you enter Melody Lounge\, you will find yourself within a cozy nook illuminated by red lanterns\, giving off an alluring crimson hue to the place. A vinyl record is usually spinning\, playing just loud enough to not have to yell over while you’re chatting with your bartender. With typically\, a moderately laid-back atmosphere\, on rowdier nights like Sundays when they feature karaoke from 9:30 to close\, the room fills up quickly and the good times roll. \n \nReaching its five-year anniversary in March\, Melody Lounge started solely as a craft beer bar and received its full liquor license just over one year ago\, allowing them to accumulate quite the range of spirits to coincide with its diverse gallery of craft brews. \n“We still have a big focus on craft beer\, which is where our roots are\, but we just wanted to take the next step\, upgrade\, and tailor a cocktail menu\,” says general manager Eric Bouvet. “We do all 32 classics at any given time\, and we also have a small list of signature cocktails. We try to keep it simple\, offer good cocktails.” \n \nMelody Lounge and its multiple sister bars including The Short Stop in Echo Park and Footsies in Cypress Park\, typically fall under the same theme of slight preservation. As they each display a low-key appearance from the exterior\, upon entering\, you will find that there is so much more than what initially meets the eye. \n\nHours\nSunday – Friday: 5:00pm – 2:00am\nSaturday: 2:00pm – 2:00am\n  \n\nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nwww.facebook.com/melodyloungeLA\n \n  \nFind more

Sunset Blvd West Hollywood\, CA 90069 \nAs long as there has been a Los Angeles rock scene\, there has been the Whisky A Go-Go. An anchor on the Sunset Strip since its opening in 1964\, the Whisky A Go-Go has played host to rock ‘n’ roll’s most important bands\, from the Doors\, Janis Joplin\, and Led Zeppelin to today’s up-and-coming new artists. \n \nOn January 16\, 1964\, a small club on the Sunset Strip opened its doors for the first time.\n\nIt was The Whisky a Go Go\, the first-ever live music venue to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and the most iconic club on the Strip. Founded by Mario Maglieri\, Elmer Valentine\, and Phil Tanzini – The Whisky had to spell its name without the ‘e’ in whiskey because Los Angeles city zoning laws didn’t allow any club to be named after alcohols (The Whisky constantly had problems with the city and for a while had the name “The Whisk?”). The world-famous Whisky a Go Go opened on Jan. 15\, 1964\, with a concert by Johnny Rivers. \nA DJ named Joanie Labine (the first DJ at The Whisky) played records in a booth that was suspended to the right of the stage in between Johnny Rivers’ sets. Labine entertained the crowd by dancing and the idea of the go-go dancer was born. Very soon a ‘costume’ of the go-go dancers also emerged: a girl wearing a short\, fringed skirt and high\, white boots: a trend that will spread to all discotheques and nightclubs all across the country. \nAnd the rest is history… \n\nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nwww.eventbrite.com/e/fast-times-monday-night\n \n  \nFind more

SUMMARY:DIRTY MONDAYS LA
DESCRIPTION:EVERY MONDAY – Madame Siam\nThe Most INSANE rock n roll party in LA! Every Monday at Madame Siam in Hollywood. 10pm – 2am. NO COVER. Free shots with RSVP! \nFlashback\, we’re in 2011 when four guys end up together in Milan. They have experienced some of the world’s most exciting scenes from Europe to the USA. They have fostered their love for good music and they have realized that Milan is lacking something: a real rock and roll night where rock is king. They desperately feel the need for a Monday night out that could start the week off with a bang! Or extend the weekend\, which is always too short\, depending on your point of view. \nTo these guys making a combo of the two needs come naturally. The final result is a delightfully fatal mix of explosive sounds that reaches the full rock spectrum: from classics like The Kinks to the furious Sex Pistols punk\, reaching the Beach Boys surf rock and completing the circle with the nostalgic psychedelia of Led Zeppelin\, Pink Floyd with a final Modern chaser of Temples and Tame Impala. A full recipe designed to endear the most demanding ears and unleash even the less discerning ones. \nThe Dirty Mondays founders are also recognized for creating their own denim jackets available to the crew and a few close friends. Maybe you’ve seen them\, they stand out in the crowd. \n \n\n \n1723 N Hudson Ave Los Angeles\, CA 90028 \nMadame Siam is an underground hotspot with plenty of space for dancing\, drinking and enjoying the whimsical circus-themed decor while a live DJ plays open format music. Carnival games\, a candy store and a house psychic are just a few of the draws for patrons to come and have a unique Hollywood experience. \n \n \n \n \n\n  \nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \ndirtymondays.com\n \n  \nFind more
