A family business with a global outlook\, Hauser & Wirth has expanded over the past 30 years to include outposts in Hong Kong\, London\, New York\, Southampton\, Los Angeles\, Somerset\, Menorca\, Monaco\, Zurich\, Gstaad\, and St. Moritz. The gallery represents over 90 artists and estates who have been instrumental in shaping its identity\, and who are the inspiration for Hauser & Wirth’s diverse range of activities that engage with art\, education\, conservation\, and sustainability. \nMANUELA RESTAURANT\n \nSituated at the center of Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles\, Manuela unites chefs\, farmers\, and artists to create an authentic and original dining experience. Under the direction of Executive Chef Kris Tominaga\, the menu celebrates seasonal ingredients sourced from the best farms and producers in Southern California. \nNamed for Manuela Wirth\, the restaurant is illuminated and animated by specially commissioned works from artists Paul McCarthy\, Mark Bradford\, and Raymond Pettibon. \nThe restaurant is available for private hire\, as is the Private Dining Room\, an intimate space that hosts up to 12 guests. \nTuesday – Friday 11.30 am – 2.30 pm\, 5.30 – 10 pm\nSunday-Saturday 10 am – 2.30 pm\, 5.30 – 9 pm \nGARDEN\n \nThe garden\, a certified Wildlife Habitat recognized by the National Wildlife Federation\, is an oasis within the burgeoning Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. Featuring a chicken coop and beds of herbs and vegetables\, which support the onsite restaurant\, Manuela – this space aims to integrate community with urban food production and sustainability. The serene and contemplative environment is surrounded by an abundance of street art murals\, which have been kept in their original locations\, creating a juxtaposition of the site’s local history with its new life. The open-air courtyard and garden won the 2019 Landscape Architecture category of the 49th Los Angeles Architectural Awards. \nSHOPS\n \nARTBOOK \nARTBOOK @ Hauser & Wirth Bookstore is a contemporary art and culture bookstore that highlights topical issues throughout the year by presenting a rotating thematic inventory of titles. ARTBOOK carries an extensive selection of magazines on a wide variety of subjects\, as well as a large selection of children’s books\, critical texts\, and performance titles. DESCRIPTION:FREE EVERYDAY- off PCH in Malibu\n\nThe Getty Villa houses the J. Paul Getty Museum’s collection.This collection antiquities includes over 1\,200 works are on view in 23 galleries devoted to the permanent collection along with five additional galleries for changing exhibitions.  There are objects dating from 6\,500 B.C. to A.D. 400. \nThe Getty Villa offers an incomparable setting for the study and enjoyment of the arts. The Villa weaves together art\, performances\, family activities\, lectures\, theater\, scholarship\, conservation. There are other activities to create an integrated educational and cultural experience for all ages. The museum serves as a gateway to the classical past for students\, scholars\, specialized professionals\, and general audiences. \n\nThe Getty Villa’s Architecture\n\nExplore the groundbreaking architecture of the Getty Center in this 45 minute docent-led tour of the site. \n \n \nGardens are integral to the setting of the Getty Villa\, as they were in the ancient Roman home. Open spaces around the site feature bronze sculptures\, fountains\, and lush plantings of trees\, herbs\, and flowers used by the Romans. In ancient Roman times\, the outer peristyle garden would have been used to converse with guests and for solo contemplation. \n \n\nThe Getty Villa is Closed Mondays\nAdmission to the Getty Villa is free for the whole family. Each Villa ticket allows you to bring up to three children ages 15 and under with you in one car. The Getty Villa offers special educational programs for children. A special Family Forum gallery offers activities\, including decorating Greek vases and projecting shadows onto a screen that represents a Greek urn. The gallery has polystyrene props from Greek and Roman culture for children to handle and use to cast shadows.
