Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room—The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away (2013) is now open with reservations required in advance. Kusama’s Longing for Eternity (2017) is on view on the third floor and doesn’t require reservations. Please note that Longing for Eternity may be closed on short notice. \n \nHow to see Infinity Mirrored Room—The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away\n\nObtain a timed-entry ticket for “Infinity Mirrored Room + General Admission” by booking online. This new reservation procedure will provide you access to this immersive installation at the start of your museum visit.For the best chance to get tickets to view this Infinity Mirrored Room\, visit ticketing.thebroad.org and select “Infinity Mirrored Room + General Admission” at 10 a.m. PT on the day of our monthly ticket release. Fusing Alice in Wonderland with the Duchampian tradition of the readymade\, Artist Robert Therrien constructs a doppelganger from an everyday object\, both displaying his visual wit and actualizing literary or imaginative fantasy in three-dimensional space. The table exudes an extraordinary aura\, compelling one to walk underneath the table and conjuring the physical memory of being under the table of one’s childhood home. Complicated and powerful\, the work offers fresh ideas of what a table\, sculpture\, and memory can mean. \n  \n  \n \nUsing the recognizable form of a balloon twisted into the shape of a dog\, Koons has frozen a moment in time\, exaggerating both scale and material. \nBalloon Dog (Blue) is literal and abstract. When standing close to it\, one’s own distorted reflection bends around smooth pert curves. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission is Free\nAll visitors must reserve timed tickets in advance. DESCRIPTION:NOW OPEN  FRIDAY – SUNDAY- Griffith Park\nGriffith Observatory is a free-admission facility located on the south side of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. The building and grounds are accessible for all visitors. The building is busiest on weekends\, during summer and holiday periods\, and at sunset. \n\nGriffith Observatory’s grounds and roads are generally open the same hours as Griffith Park\, 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.\, every day. Access to Griffith Park is free\, though there is paid parking closest to the Observatory. There are public restrooms located next to the Observatory parking lot. Trailheads on Observatory grounds lead to Mount Hollywood\, the Greek Theatre area\, and Fern Dell. \n\n\nDaily Programs\n\nSamuel Oschin Planetarium\n\n\nOur most prominent daily programs are the shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium\, With its spectacular Zeiss star projector\, digital projection system\, state-of-the-art aluminum dome\, comfy seats\, sound system\, and theatrical lighting\, the 290-seat Samuel Oschin Planetarium theater is the finest planetarium in the world. Every show is presented by a live\, engaging storyteller\, and one of our three current shows is offered every 60 to 90 minutes each day the Observatory is open. \n\nPublic Telescopes\nthe Observatory offers many other stellar experiences while you visit. During the day\, you can see the live image of the Sun on our coelostat (solar telescope) in the Ahmanson Hall of the Sky. Each evening\, there are free public telescopes on the roof and lawn for you to observe the night sky. \n \nLeonard Nimoy narrates The Once and Future Griffith Observatory movie profiling the Observatory’s history\, renovation\, and current offerings. You can join our staff for talks about local noon\, the Tesla Coil\,and The Big Picture\, or just walk through the exhibit galleries. \n \nDon’t forget to take in the views of Los Angeles\, get a bite to eat in the Café at the End of the Universe\, or buy a souvenir at the Stellar Emporium. DESCRIPTION:EVERY THIRD THURSDAY- Autry Museum\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us monthly at the Autry Museum to enjoy an evening al fresco at the Odd Market\, an “indie” bazaar with food trucks\, live music\, and the coolest SoCal vendors for crafts\, vintage items\, home goods\, and oddities. Select museum galleries will be open from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. \nFor a list of vendors and other event updates\, visit TheOddMarket.com.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are over the moon to announce this one. After a 2 year covid induced sabbatical\, we are coming back with Odd Nights at The Autry for our 7th season. For those that have enjoyed Odd Nights in the past\, we are excited to see you again with new sellers\, new food trucks\, and some new additions\, such as these cool picnic tables to rent and we have a couple food vendors that are looking at pre-selling charcuterie boards and other specialty items. \nThose of you have never experienced Odd Nights\, you are in for a treat! Odd Nights is the hidden gem of events located at the Autry Museum which is directly across from the LA Zoo. You can park at either the Autry or the LA Zoo for free. \n \nAdmission is only $5. Kids under 12 are free.\nBring a blanket\, your appetite and arrive early and stay late every third Friday from 6pm – 10PM.
