The Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round is a nostalgia-inducing gem that\, much like Disneyland\, is still enjoyed by the young and the young-at-heart decades after its inception. The small carousel\, which is tucked away into a quiet corner of the park\, served as Walt Disney’s inspiration for Disneyland. When his children were young\, Walt\, a Los Feliz denizen\, took them to the merry-go-round on weekends. During one visit\, while sitting on a bench watching his kids circle round and round\, he was inspired to create a large scale gathering site that the whole family could enjoy. His dream was realized on July 17\, 1955\, when Disneyland opened to the public. \n \n  \nClassic Car Show with a little coffee and some amazing automobiles\nLast Sunday of every month\n  \n \nCars & Coffee Los Angeles was founded to bring together like-minded automotive\, photography\, and design enthusiasts. Reliving life aboard a whaling ship and Melville’s soul-searching journey while the group huddled for warmth on the sand was a transformative experience. Tim realized the importance of learning outside of the traditional classroom and founded the Venice Oceanarium\, a Museum Without Walls. \n \nThis concept of blending the arts and sciences is the core of our programming. There’s a secret reef\, and beautiful wetlands\, and on a clear day\, you can see Malibu and Catalina Island. \nMillions of locals and visitors enjoy our beaches. Few stop to really appreciate the rare treasures it has to offer.
