DESCRIPTION:LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH- Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round Lot \nCars & Coffee Los Angeles is a Classic Car Show held at the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round Lot #1\, located at 4730 Crystal Springs Dr\, Los Angeles\, CA 90027. The Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round is a nostalgia-inducing gem that\, much like Disneyland\, is still enjoyed by the young and the young-at-heart decades after its inception. The small carousel\, which is tucked away into a quiet corner of the park\, served as Walt Disney’s inspiration for Disneyland. When his children were young\, Walt\, a Los Feliz denizen\, took them to the merry-go-round on weekends. During one visit\, while sitting on a bench watching his kids circle round and round\, he was inspired to create a large scale gathering site that the whole family could enjoy. His dream was realized on July 17\, 1955\, when Disneyland opened to the public. \n \n  \nClassic Car Show with a little coffee and some amazing automobiles\nLast Sunday of every month\n  \n \nCars & Coffee Los Angeles was founded to bring together like-minded automotive\, photography\, and design enthusiasts. The events are very chill and welcoming to all car sorts. Our core group of regulars is composed of area locals who aren’t shy about sharing the neighborhood’s rich history. DESCRIPTION:EVERY SUNDAY- in Historic Leimert Park\n\n\n\nEvery Sunday 10 am – 5 pm.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Leimert Park African Marketplace and Drum Circle takes park every Sunday in Leimert Park Village along Degnan Boulevard between 43rd Place and 43rd Street. \n\n  \n \n\nFor more than 25 yearsthe African Drum Circles & African American street vendors have been a mainstay of Leimert Park. The weekly event is celebration of Black culture\, art\, music and dance. \n\n  \n \n\nWeekly crowds come to support Black owned businesses and try the flavors from around the globe. The village is one of the most prominent Black cultural spaces in Los Angeles\, and it is a symbol of Black life in this city. \n  \n \n\n\nEverySunday from 3:00pm until dusk the African beats of the drums can be heard throughout the neighborhood. Drummers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate in this exciting community event. Leimert Park has been a meeting place for the people of Los Angeles for at least since the early 80s. \nThe drum circles feature musical styles from across the African continent\, with local drummers join with others coming from various parts of Africa\, Latin America\, the Caribbean islands. You can stroll the quiet harborfront to enjoy views of the Marina\, passing sailboats\, and wildlife. There are several restaurants\, the Marina del Rey Historical Society’s exhibit space\, and a smattering of shops. Free live music is offered on the plaza on Saturday and Sunday afternoons year-round (weather depending); find the current lineup below or in our events calendar. The village is the boarding place for City Cruises by Hornblower’s year-round dining cruises and Marina del Rey Parasailing (closed November-February)\, as well as one of the Marina’s destinations for hourly and daily rentals of sailing and power boats\, jet skis\, kayaks\, and paddle boards. Fisherman’s Village also serves as one of eight pick-up/drop-off locations for the WaterBus (operates during the summer only).
