SUMMARY:Hike To The Hollywood Sign
DESCRIPTION:HIKING TO THE SIGN\nThe Hollywood Sign is the most famous icon of the city of Los Angeles\, and there are three routes below ranked from easy to difficult. The Mt Hollywood Trail\, The Brush Canyon Trail\, and The Cahuenga Peak Trail (currently closed)\n\nStunning views of the Hollywood Sign unfold at your own pace on hiking trails that meander through the rolling chaparral of the Santa Monica Mountains.  Trails originally blazed by paws\, hooves\, and yucca-thatched moccasins now connect us to cultural as well as natural wonders. The western frontier of Griffith Park offers hikers amazingly close encounters with the Sign\, which is off-limits to human hands\, just below the ridgeline at the 1\,708-foot summit of Mt. Lee. On the longest hike\, you can ascend above and behind the Sign’s 45-foot-tall aluminum letters\, where you look out over a windswept vista encompassing the DOOWYLLOH sign\, the dreamy towers of downtown Los Angeles\, and\, on a clear day\, the ageless blue Pacific.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom behind\, the Sign reads DOOWYLLOH\nAuthorized hiking trails are open the same hours as Griffith Park\, from Sunrise to Sunset\, 365 days a year.  While enjoying hiking\, please stay on authorized trails. \nPlease beware of the extreme fire danger on the trails\, parts of which are still recovering after a devastating wildfire in 2007. Trespassing is illegal. A LAPD officer is stationed near the Sign\, which is protected by a fence and security cameras 24 hours a day. Thank you. \n \nEasy Way:\nThe Mt. Hollywood Trail\, \noffering a mind-bending side-angle view of the Sign\, has two starting points in Griffith Park\, the 6.5 square miles of protected wilderness AKA the heart and lungs of Los Angeles (Hours: Sunrise – Sunset). The shorter loop hike of about three miles starts at Griffith Observatory’s parking lot\, which is free and fills up early on weekends. \nA slightly longer and steeper trail with fewer people starts on a fire road intersecting N. Vermont Canyon Rd.\, just past the Greek Theater\, where hardy hikers find plenty of street parking. \n\n \nThe Charlie Turner Trailhead marker \n\nThe most popular route up Mt. Hollywood\, the second highest peak in the park\, is suitable for families with children. It begins at the Charlie Turner Trailhead\, named to honor a longtime park volunteer. You can use the restrooms at the Observatory and ask a park ranger about conditions on the trail. Summer can be scorching up there\, so be sure and carry plenty of water. Sandals and flip-flops are not the best footwear in snake country. The trailhead sign and landscaping are at the north end of the Observatory parking lot. The hike begins with a short\, easy ascent along a ridge. \nLook for the Mt. Hollywood trailhead sign and landscaping at the north end of the Observatory parking lot. The hike (where leashed dogs are legal but unleashed ones common) isn’t likely to cross paths with P-22\, the mountain lion that traversed two freeways to take up residence in the wilds of Griffith Park in 2012. Start walking up a short\, easy ascent along a ridge through authentic wild chaparral where you may spot purple and orange wildflowers in the spring and red Toyon berries on California Holly bushes in the fall. In less than a half- mile\, you come upon a cooling grove of pine trees called the Berlin Forest\, planted by real Berliners to honor their sister-city status with Los Angeles. There are tables and benches\, and a beautiful view of the Hollywood Sign framed by pine boughs. Be on the lookout year-round for Zorro-masked Mountain Chickadees in the conifers and orange and yellow flame-headed Western Tanagers in the scrub. \n\nThe entrance to Dante’s View\nAfter another gently up-sloped half-mile\, you reach a four-way crossroads. The left fork goes around the west side of Mt. Hollywood toward a rest stop called Captain’s Roost. The right fork leads around the east side to a well-kept “folk” garden called Dante’s View. The Friends of Griffith Park have recently been planting and nurturing more native plants around the rest stop gardens\, which were severely burned in 2007. Both provide shade (there’s also a water fountain at Dante’s View) and restorative views of the Observatory and the city to the south and the Hollywood Sign to the west. The 1\,625-foot Mt. Hollywood summit is about one-quarter mile beyond both stops and consists of a coastal sage scrubby knob with protective railing. The slightly cockeyed view of the letters in the Hollywood Sign is from a perspective just a few degrees off dead center\, and almost directly at eye level. READ MORE \n\n \n\nMODERATE:\nThe Brush Canyon Trail\, \nalso part of Griffith Park\, features a fun side trip to Adam West’s Bat Cave\, home of the Batmobile in the 60’s Batman TV series. Locals know it as Bronson Caves\, and there’s a small parking lot close to the trailhead on Canyon Drive and an overflow dirt parking lot just down the road. The trail offers sensational views of the city and ends behind the Hollywood Sign. The old rock quarry tunnel has figured in many movies\, from 1925’s Riders of the Purple Sage to 2010’s Megashark vs. Crocosaurus. \n\n \nA view from the Brush Canyon Trail. hike \n\nThe 6.5-mile trail to the Sign climbs more than a thousand feet through several healthy ecosystems\, so hikers need to give it three hours and carry plenty of water. If there aren’t too many unleashed dogs\, you might see mule deer\, bobcats\, coyotes\, and rattlesnakes. Look up for Cooper’s Hawks soaring in the thermals over the Sign and down for honeybees probing the wildflowers. READ MORE \nNOTE: Reservations are NOT currently required on this hike. However\, access might be closed off during the day depending on overcrowding. \n \nDIFFICULT:CLOSED\nThe Cahuenga Peak Hike\,\nacross a short saddle from Mt. Lee\, runs through the latest 138-acre addition to Griffith Park and offers wide angle views of the Hollywood Reservoir and the San Fernando Valley. Suitable for the more experienced hiker\, it begins on the Aileen Getty Ridge Trail and includes the Hugh Hefner Overlook\, both named for two of the many benefactors and community activists who raised the money to save the land from a luxury housing development in 2012. \n \nThe trail is more rugged and less defined than the Canyon Blvd. trail. It includes the famous Wisdom Tree and traverses an area where the park’s resident mountain lion\, P-22\, has been spotted (usually after dark when the park is closed). The trail is open from sunrise to sunset. READ MORE \nHours\nOpen Daily: Sunrise – Sunset \n\n  \nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nhollywoodsign.org/hiking-to-the-sign/\n \n  \nFind more

SUMMARY:Suihoen - The Japanese Garden
DESCRIPTION:NOW OPEN- Van Nuys\n \n6100 Woodley Ave\, Lake Balboa\, CA 91406 \n  \nNestled amidst the bustling San Fernando Valley lies an oasis of serenity – the Japanese Garden at Van Nuys\, also known as Suihōen (水芳園)\, meaning “garden of water and fragrance.” This captivating 6.5-acre sanctuary transports you to a world of tranquility\, offering a glimpse into traditional Japanese garden design and a chance to reconnect with nature’s calming embrace. \n \nA Journey Through Three Distinct Styles\nThe Japanese Garden at Van Nuys is a masterpiece of design\, incorporating three distinct styles of Japanese gardens. As you embark on your exploration\, prepare to be enveloped by: \n\n\nTsukiyama (mountain borrowing) style: This style cleverly borrows the scenery of the surrounding hills\, creating the illusion of a much larger space. Let your imagination wander as the boundaries between the garden and the natural landscape seem to blur. \n\n\nChisen (pond garden) style: A central pond\, symbolizing the vastness of the ocean\, takes center stage in this style. Graceful bridges connect small islands within the pond\, adding a touch of whimsy and tranquility to the scene. Keep an eye out for the vibrant koi fish that call this pond their home. \n\n\nKare-sansui (dry landscape) style: Embrace the beauty of minimalism with the Kare-sansui style. Rocks\, sand\, and gravel are meticulously arranged to represent water and mountains\, creating a space for contemplation and reflection. \n\n\n  \n \n  \n \n  \nA Haven for Relaxation and Reflection\nThe Japanese Garden at Van Nuys is more than just a visual treat. It’s a place to unwind\, de-stress\, and reconnect with your inner peace. \n\n\nStroll the Winding Paths: Meandering paths\, crafted from natural materials\, weave through the landscape\, inviting you on a journey of discovery. Allow yourself to be present in the moment\, savoring the sights\, sounds\, and scents of the garden. \n\n\nFind Serenity by the Koi Pond: The gentle murmur of water and the graceful dance of the koi fish create a calming atmosphere. Take a seat on a nearby bench and let the tranquility wash over you. \n\n\nUnwind Amidst the Dry Landscape: The stark beauty of the Kare-sansui style fosters a sense of peace and mindfulness. Allow the raked sand and meticulously placed rocks to inspire contemplation and a connection with nature’s simplicity. \n\n\n  \n \n  \nA Cultural Gem in the City\nThe Japanese Garden at Van Nuys isn’t just a beautiful space; it’s a cultural gem. As you explore\, you’ll encounter traditional Japanese elements like: \n\n\nTorii gate: A traditional gate that marks the entrance to the garden\, signifying a transition from the everyday world to a sacred space. \n\n\nPagoda: A multi-tiered tower\, a familiar feature in Japanese gardens\, adds an architectural touch and a sense of history. \n\n\nTea house: While not always open to the public\, the presence of a tea house hints at the cultural significance of tea ceremonies in Japanese tradition. \n\n\n \n  \n \n  \nPlan Your Tranquil Escape\nThe Japanese Garden at Van Nuys is open to the public free of charge (donations are appreciated). The garden is open Tuesday through Sunday\, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm\, offering a convenient escape during the workweek or a peaceful weekend retreat. \nEmbrace the Tranquility\nThe Japanese Garden at Van Nuys awaits you. Immerse yourself in the calming beauty of this haven\, explore the intricacies of Japanese garden design\, and discover a place for relaxation\, reflection\, and a touch of cultural exploration. So\, take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and find your moment of peace amidst the serenity of the Japanese Garden. \n  \n\nHours and Admission\n\n\n\nHours\nMonday – Thursday: \n\nMorning Reservation Window (9:30am – 12:00pm)\nAfternoon Reservation Window (1:00pm – 3:30pm)\nBetween 12:00pm – 1:00pm\, we are CLOSED\n\nWe are closed Friday through Sunday; closed on all Federal & City of Los Angeles Holidays; and closed within 24 hours of rain. \n——————————————————————————————————————————————————\nAdmission\nAdmission is currently Free! \nRight now\, our reservation system will be under maintenance\, so guests will NOT NEED A RESERVATION TO VISIT THE GARDEN.  During this time\, guests may arrive as “walk-ins.”  Please note the reservations system will eventually return! \nAdmission is free and guests are allowed a 2.5 hour window to visit the Japanese Garden.  Adherence to Terms and Conditions (listed below) are required. \n  \nTERMS AND CONDITIONS: \nSpace in the Garden is limited\, so visitors are permitted to visit either during the “Morning” or “Afternoon” window – they CANNOT visit for both in the same day\, as this would take away openings from other potential guest bookings. \nGroups of 10 or more people must call in the day of desired visitation to check if there is capacity available for their group. \nWhen guests arrive\, they must check in at the Security gate before entering the parking lot\, and then sign in at the Admission Office before entering the garden. \nThe 2.5 hour time window is strictly enforced and guests who arrive 15 minutes before the closing of that time window will not be allowed to enter.  Each group must exit the garden before their time window expires. \nAll members of the booking party must follow the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health COVID-19\nguidelines including\, but not limited to: \n\nPrior to attending your reservation you and all members of your party will conduct a self-symptom check\nfor cough\, shortness of breath\, and/or fever prior to entering the facility. SUMMARY:FREE TREES FROM CITY PLANTS LA
DESCRIPTION:CITY PLANTS IS OFFERING FREE TREES TO LA RESIDENTS!\nHelp make the city greener and healthier\, by planting a tree in your yard or on your street\, you can help reduce air pollution\, lower energy bills\, and increase property values! \n \nGetting a free tree from City Plants is easy. Simply visit their website and fill out the online application. Once your application is approved\, a City Plants representative will work with you to choose the right tree for your location and arrange for it to be delivered to your home. \nPlanting a tree may seem like a small act\, but it can have a big impact on your community and the environment. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and other pollutants\, help reduce noise pollution\, and provide shade that can help lower temperatures and reduce the urban heat island effect. \n \nSo why not do your part to make LA a greener and more beautiful place? Sign up for a free tree from City Plants today and enjoy the many benefits of having a tree in your yard or on your street. \n\n\n\n\n\n    \n200 N. Spring Street\, M-152\, Los Angeles\, CA 90012\nOur Mission\n\n\n\n\nOur mission is to grow a greener future for Los Angeles by engaging Angelenos to plant and care for trees throughout the City. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Vision\n\n\n\n\nAt City Plants\, we envision a Los Angeles in which people in every neighborhood have equal access to trees and their benefits: clean air\, energy efficiency\, better health\, cooling shade\, and friendlier\, more vibrant communities. \n \nWhat We Do\nWe plant and distribute 20\,000 trees a year. We work with six non-profit partners and several different LA City departments to transform streets and neighborhoods. \nOur Priorities\n\nPlanting in low-canopy neighborhoods\nPromoting a sustainable city by maximizing our canopy’s energy efficiency\, stormwater capture\, human health benefits\, and climate adaptation benefits\nCreating jobs in tree planting and care\n\n \n\n\n\n\nHow We Work\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCity Plants is a non-profit organization running a public-private partnership between the City of Los Angeles and six other non-profit organizations. Together\, we work with community groups\, residents\, and businesses to coordinate tree planting and care throughout Los Angeles. \nCity Plants is a continuation of LA’s former tree planting program\, Million Trees LA. Our current name reflects our changing priorities\, which are to focus our efforts in low canopy areas and to plant in a way that maximizes the benefits trees provide rather than on reaching a specific number of trees. \nIn 2001\, LADWP created the “Trees for a Green LA” program and started planting trees for energy efficiency. By subsequently partnering with City Plants to run this program\, the utility has been able to increase its effectiveness and reach\, leveraging energy efficiency resources to bring over $5 million of state and federal funds to Los Angeles for planting and caring for new trees. LADWP remains City Plants’ largest partner in its citywide tree-planting efforts. Through this partnership\, City Plants is able to provide free shade trees for residents and property owners in the City of LA\, along with important information on where to plant those trees to maximize energy efficiency in homes or businesses. \nOur urban forest nourishes and protects us all. It’s up to each of us to take care of it and grow a greener future for our kids. \n\n\n\n\nWhy Trees?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLos Angeles is at a crossroads when it comes to the health of our trees. Our city has lost thousands of trees due to drought and pests and will lose thousands more due to old age in the coming decades. The City’s Urban Forestry Division estimates that we will lose between one-third and one-half of our street trees in the next 40 years due to old age alone. \nWe cannot take our trees for granted. We must plant now to ensure a green future for our kids and grandkids.\nWe are losing trees at a time when we need them the most. We expect our City to get hotter in the coming decades\, and trees are key to cooling our homes\, streets\, and schools. We must plant aggressively now to ensure that as temperatures rise\, our City is equipped with a cooling canopy of healthy\, mature trees. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n   Trees filter asthma-causing pollution out of the air and help reduce the greenhouse gases that cause global warming.\n   They help us protect our famous beaches by capturing polluted stormwater and helping it sink into the ground rather than wash out to sea.\n   Trees add beauty to our neighborhoods\, which increases property values and makes business corridors more attractive to shoppers.\n   Trees are an excellent way to keep our yards green while using less water\, especially when planting one of the many drought-resilient varieties available through our program.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nwww.cityplants.org\n \n  \nFind more

SUMMARY:AMIR’S GARDEN
DESCRIPTION:OPEN YEAR ROUND- Griffith Park\nThe Trail to Amir’s Garden is a 1.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located LA’s Griffith Park. This shady rest stop and memorial garden features beautiful wild flowers and water-bearing\, fire-resistive succulents interspersed with natives and memorial trees and plants. The trail is primarily used for hiking\, walking\, running\, nature trips\, and horses and is accessible year-round. It is rated as moderately difficult trail. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe gardens are cared for by official volunteers since its creation in 1971. Amir’s Garden is considered a rest stop and not a dedicated picnic area\, therefore it can’t be reserved for events. The nearest restrooms are located at Mineral Wells Picnic Area. Activities related to the care of a large garden may be taking place at any time\, including watering. Amir’s Garden is a most pleasant place for a hike-in picnic\, with a selection of picnic tables.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe History of Amir’s Garden\nAmir Dialameh worked a steep hill in Griffith Park for than three decades with a pick and shovel and turned a scorched\, barren landscape into a lush\, shaded grove that is visited daily by a steady stream of hikers and horseback riders. \nFor thirty-two years\, Dialameh worked in the garden most days of the week\, hiking up a service road to the rugged Mineral Wells location. Over the years\, he planted pine and jacaranda trees along with rose bushes\, geraniums\, oleander\, and yucca that grew into the beautiful oasis it is today. \n“…what you need first and foremost here is shade\,” Dialameh explained in 1989. “That’s why I planted trees like the jacaranda. In ten years\, this place will be covered with their branches.” \nHis words were prophetic. Today Amir’s Garden is nearly five-acres of shady rest stop for Griffith Park’s hikers and equestrians. \nDialameh first came to appreciate nature as a child during hiking trips in the Alborz Mountains of his native Iran. As his love of hiking and nature developed\, so did his affinity for the United States of America. \n“I was intrigued by the volunteerism that built this country… people doing things instead of relying on the government.” In 1963 while visiting his brother in Pittsburgh\, Dialameh made the ultimate decision to immigrate and moved to the Los Angeles area. \n\n\nGetting There\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe hike to Amir’s Garden actually begins near one of Griffith Park’s larger picnic areas\, Mineral Well Picnic Area. Find the dirt service road heading west from the intersection of Griffith Park Drive and Mineral Wells Road. \nWalk straight through an immediate junction and follow the dirt road on a southwestern climb to Amir’s Garden. After a horseshoe bend in the road\, and a quarter mile from the start\, you will pass a water tower that is accompanied by broad views stretching beyond Griffith Park toward Glendale\, the Verdugo Mountains\, and San Gabriel Mountains. \n \nLooking back down the trail\nAfter less than half a mile\, the trail arrives at Amir’s Garden where you’ll discover a pocket of tall sycamores arcing over a mountainside of verdant plants including succulents like ice plant and jade. There are a few picnic tables at the entrance of Amir’s Garden and others hidden throughout. \n  \n \nAmir’s Garden\n\nStroll through a web of footpaths and recharge your batteries in this refreshing Griffith Park retreat. With extra effort\, you may continue up North Trail toward Mount Hollywood\, Mount Bell and other peaks in Griffith Park. Otherwise\, return the way you came for a satisfying 1-mile round trip hike. No fee or permit is required to hike to Amir’s Garden and dogs are welcome.\n\nTo get to the trailhead: Take the 5 Freeway to the Los Feliz Boulevard exit. Drive west on Los Feliz Boulevard to the first light and turn north on Crystal Springs Road. After 1.5 miles\, turn left on Griffith Park Drive and drive 1.2 miles to the intersection with Mineral Wells Road. Turn left onto Mineral Wells Road and park immediately in the spaces along the road. The trail to Amir’s Garden heads west from the intersection of Mineral Wells Road and Griffith Park Drive. \nTrailhead address: Mineral Wells Road & Griffith Park Drive\, Griffith Park\, Los Angeles\, CA 90027 \n\n\n\n  \nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nhttp://www.amirsgarden.org/\n \n  \nFind more \n \n \n \n \n \n \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Dockweiler Beach Fire Pits
DESCRIPTION:EVERY DAY ’til MIDNIGHT- Dockweiler State Beach\nThe Dockweiler Beach Fire Pits are located about 3 miles south of Playa del Rey\, this inviting beach features 3 miles of shoreline\, an RV park\, and over 2\,000 regular vehicle parking spaces. The wide sandy beach lies beneath the departures flight path of LAX\, offering fantastic belly views of airlines headed out over the Pacific. The lot entrance is at Vista del Mar and Imperial Highway. \n\n\nFIRE PITS RULES\n\n\n\n\n\nAny grills or BBQs must fit inside the fire pit\, which is 2′ wide. No grills\, grilling\, or flames or fires on the sand.\nTo use the fire pits\, you bring your own charcoal or wood and a way to light them.\nPlease do not use sand to put out the fire.\nHelp keep our beaches clean by preventing ashes or debris from falling into the sand.\n\n  \n\n\n\nThere’s no better way to end a fun day at the beach than to circle up around a cozy bonfire. Not all California beaches allow bonfires\, but here in the Marina del Rey area\, we’re lucky that Dockweiler State Beach does permit regulated burns in provided fire rings. Follow these tips to ensure your group has an enjoyable time. \n\nIf you want a pit\, arrive early. From May through September\, the pits are in high demand\, especially on the weekends\, and there are some diehards who arrive at dawn to claim their spots for the entire day. You cannot reserve fire pits as you would a campsite. Do not leave your pit unattended\, even for a quick dip in the ocean – if you do\, don’t be surprised to find another group has taken over the site. There are between 60 – 80 fire pits located just north and south of where Vista del Mar intersects with Imperial Highway. That sounds like a lot\, but consider that Dockweiler is also home to an RV park\, and you’re all competing for space.\nBring everything you need – wood\, s’mores\, snacks\, et cetera (see “Your Packing List” below).\nThe beach and all amenities close at midnight.\nBefore you leave\, snuff out the flame with water. Stir the embers after they are covered with water and make sure that everything is saturated. Do not use sand to distinguish the fire\, as it creates a mess for the next guest.\n\n \nYOUR PACKING LIST\n\nWood and charcoal (wood for that nice bonfire and charcoal for cooking – see below about barbecue rules). Both can be purchased at Ralph’s grocery stores: 4700 Admiralty Way\, Marina del Rey; 8701 Lincoln Boulevard\, Playa del Rey. Only burn clean wood (nothing treated with paint\, chemicals\, etc.) in the pits.\nFire starter and a lighter. You can purchase kindling from most any grocery\, home supply\, or sporting-goods store. Or\, prepare your own starter with this old-school camping craft: Fill a cardboard egg carton with dryer lint\, wood shavings\, paper shreds\, or other ignitable materials. Pour a small amount of melted candle wax into each cup to make things stay put. Break off cups individually and place into your wood stack. Light the cardboard cups and watch how easy your fire takes off – even in the wind.\nIf barbecuing\, note that large stand-up barbeques are NOT allowed on the sand or in the parking lots. However\, you can bring a low-profile version and place it inside the fire ring.\nLong-handle grilling sticks. These are great for cooking hot dogs and kabobs and roasting marshmallows.\nHot glove or mitt. Don’t ruin your night with a burn from handling hot wood\, pots\, or grills. Items like the Ove Glove offer protection while still allowing dexterity.\nFood! Doubt you’ll forget this\, but you may want a separate checklist so that you remember all the elements for your meal. It’s easy to overlook things like serving spoons\, plastic utensils\, salt and pepper\, napkins or wet wipes\, and containers for leftovers. Paper plates are great for cookouts since they’re ok to burn in the fire afterward.\nCamp/beach table. Depending on the size of your group\, you may prefer to set up your dinner fixings buffet style on a simple folding table. Whatever you bring\, remember that you’ll need to carry it across the sand to the pit and back to the parking lot at the end of your evening. So only take what you really need.\nYou’ll want a beverage cooler with ice\, especially if you heed our warning and arrive early in the day to claim your spot. A bag to hold discarded recyclables is a good idea\, too.\nComfort items. Ask each person in your group to bring his or her own beach chair or picnic blanket. Remind them that despite warm daytime temps\, the beach cools down a lot at night; having extra blankets and jackets is a smart move.\n\n  \n  \n  \nClick here to read beach rules and regulations at LA County Beaches including Dockweiler State Beach. \n  \nDOCKWEILER STATE BEACH PARKING INFORMATION\nParking at Dockweiler State Beach costs between $6 (weekday\, low season) and $13 (weekend\, high season) and there are no in/outs. If you leave the lot\, you must pay again to enter. The first 300 cars to arrive during weekdays pay a reduced rate of $3; during weekends and L.A. County holidays\, the reduced rate for the first 300 cars is $5. There is limited street parking on Vista del Mar\, but take note of the parking signage. Click for an interactive parking map with fees and times. \n  \nHours\nMonday – Sunday: 6:00 a.m.- 12:00 Midnight \n\nFor additional information\, visit the website @ \nvisitmarinadelrey.com/dockweiler-state-beach\n \n  \nFind more \n \n \n \n \n \n \n
