DESCRIPTION:OPEN EVERY DAY- DTLA Wells Fargo Center\nGraham Garden integrates Fountain Figures I-IV\, a collection of graceful sculptures created by late Los Angeles artist Robert Graham\, in a newly designed outdoor plaza at Halo. For over fifty years\, Robert Graham’s observation of the female form and use of scale allowed him to explore and create a range of intimate sized works and large public monuments\, widely celebrated for their precise iconic detail. \nThe sculptures were originally part of CRA/LA’s mission in 1985 to incorporate public art in redevelopment projects and revitalize Downtown Los Angeles. The four sculptures are currently situated in an exterior landscaped setting that Graham’s son\, Steven Graham\, consulted on as part of the renovation at Wells Fargo Center. \n  \n \nRobert Graham\, was a Mexican born sculptor\, and although you may not be familiar with his name\, you probably ARE familiar with some of his work. Graham’s monumental bronzes commemorate the human figure\, and are featured in 11 public places in and around the city of Angels. Including; The Olympic Gateway at the Memorial Coliseum\, The Torso at Rodeo Drive\, The Great Bronze Doors and Statue of Mary at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels\, and The Dance Door – Los Angeles Music Center \n  \n \nAnd now\, you can see his latest collection. The Robert Graham Sculpture Garden gracefully nestled in the newly designed outdoor plaza at Halo\, at Wells Fargo Center. \nThis collection is a unique addition\, to the Olympic Celebration\, coming to LA in 2028\, The collection of four bronze fountain figures\, was inspired by gymnastic athleticism\, strength\, and beauty. In Buddhist and Hindu teachings\, the Graveyard\, or Charnal grounds\, is a favored place of practice where yogis must confront our mortal destiny\, our fear of death\, and our aversion to impermanence. \n  \n \nIn the Summer of 2020\, as our favorite indoor Yoga studios were forced to close and we found ourselves less compliant in ZOOM classes\, a few of us started coming to Hollywood Forever to practice safely together in the mornings. \nWe are now honored to offer this experience to all yogis\, from beginners to advanced\, looking to deepen their practice in a safe outdoor setting with green grass and quacking ducks. \nWe practice on the Hollywood Forever Cemetery Fairbanks Lawn\, where Cinespia movies are screened\, so there is ample space to spread out and safely distance as you enrich your practice with our sangha community. \n \nAttendance Tips:Cost: Donation based \nParking: FREE! Park anywhere alongside the lawn.
