DESCRIPTION:DECEMBER 7- City Hall Plaza\, El Segundo\nThe El Segundo Holiday Tree Lighting returns this Thursday. \nThe Recreation\, Parks\, and Library Department proudly presents our annual Joy Around the World: Festival of Holidays and Tree Lighting event on Thursday\, December 7\, 2023\, from 3:00pm-7:00pm.The event takes place at City Hall Plaza and the 300 block of Main Street. This free\, family-friendly outdoor event combines El Segundo’s Christmas Tree Lighting tradition with the celebration of winter holidays from around the world\, including Christmas\, Diwali\, Hanukkah\, Kwanzaa\, Nochebuena\, and Ōmisoka. \n  \n \nGuests attending the event will enjoy live music and cultural dance performances\, Christmas tree lighting\, a visit with Santa Claus and gift giveaway\, kids’ train ride\, food trucks offering multicultural cuisines\, craft-making stations\, handmade jewelry and crafts for purchase\, and more! This event is free to the public. \nSanta will arrive shortly after 3:00pm for pictures with guests. A “fast pass” wristband will be available at the Joslyn Center in Recreation Park starting Monday\, November 20th. Wristbands will be available to El Segundo residents with a valid 2023 or 2024 Recreation ID card. Please note “fast pass” wristbands are limited. We promise that with every visit to our Art Laboratory located on Main Street in El Segundo\, California you will see the world and yourself a little bit differently. \nESMoA has functioned as a catalyst for creative thinking offering three unique Experiences per year. The Experiences present a variety of media\, including sculpture\, painting\, works on paper\, performances\, and photography. \n \nPARKING\nComing to JUST DRAW Drawing Club? We recommend parking in one of the free city lots on Grand Ave. or top of the parking garage attached to the 99 cent store. The entrance to the parking garage is on Grand Ave. Street parking is available for free in 2-hour increments. \n  \nGETTING HERE\nThe closest metro stop is El Segundo Station (the Green Line) and is about a 20-minute walk or a five-minute Lyft ride. \nESMoA does not have a bike rack and we cannot guarantee bike parking at ESMoA. \n  \nNEW HOURS\nThursday 12pm-5pm\nFriday 10am-5pm\nSaturday 10am-5pm\nSunday closed \nESMoA is closed to the public Monday through Wednesday\, but it is open for educational and special events by advance appointment. \nESMoA is closed between Experiences. LOTS OF THEM. \n130+\nVintage\, Antique and Muscle Cars \nWe use our collection to present educational opportunities\, new age engineering and cultural evolution of the automobile. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Automobile Driving Museum is a great place to bring a group of kids for an afternoon of fun and education.\nWe welcome visits from summer camps\, church groups and schools to offer them STEM projects and fun activities. Call ahead and we will arrange to have a docent on hand to give an informative tour of the museum’s car collection. We have an activity room that can host a group of 25-45 kids plus adults with tables for arts and crafts.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAutomobile Driving Museum’s SUNDAY CAR RIDES\nSundays 10:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.\nSubject to availability. \nPlease call the museum the Thursday before to get the Ride List! \nSunday rides do not need a reservation. They are first come\, first served. \nPlease call 310-909-0950 ext. 200 to schedule a private tour with rides any other day at a special rate! \n\n\nScavenger Hunt\n \nAsk at the front desk about the scavenger hunt on your next visit to Automobile Driving Museum.
