Tim realized the importance of learning outside of the traditional classroom and founded the Venice Oceanarium\, a Museum Without Walls. \n \nThis concept of blending the arts and sciences is the core of our programming. The museum’s mission is to further intercultural understanding through the arts of Asia and the Pacific Islands. \nThe museum’s historic building has served as a center for art\, culture\, and learning in Pasadena since its construction in 1924 by pioneering collector and entrepreneur Grace Nicholson (1877-1948) as her residence\, galleries\, and Treasure House/emporium. Ms. Nicholson’s championing of Asian art early in the century set the tone for much of the Pasadena community’s arts-related activities during the ensuing decades. The best big little comedy club in Noho\, this unpretentious spot is equally on and off the grid. \nMonday evenings host “Next Comic Standing\,” featuring some nervous\, sweaty guy you definitely don’t know.\n\nOpen mics are available daily for anyone brave enough to shell out $5 or $10 for a soft drink coupon and five or 10 minutes of stage time.\n\nOn any day\, ducking past the front curtain and comedy lessons postings here will inevitably lead to some laughs\, groans\, and the very real possibility that some famous name-dropping by to test out new material on a safe\, comfortable stage will bump the next 10 slots of newbies who’ve been waiting all week for this moment.\n \nAbout\n30 years ago\, when comedians needed a mic to dish out material to the masses\, they came to The HaHa Comedy Club. Also featuring our sister team\, Mind Reader! \nNuisance starts off grounded and dramatic with a scene between two people\, and then they take you on a journey deconstructing every aspect of that scene. They’ll go too crazy places\, unseen places\, and those sublime moments that have to be seen to be felt. Freedom. Fearless. Family. \nThe Pack is a comedy theater and school that is home to some of the wildest\, most innovative comedies anywhere. We offer shows seven nights a week and classes year-round. We are named the Pack because we are a family of hungry\, ballsy\, passionate artists. Our unapologetically bold performers and students are encouraged to take risks and develop their unique comedy voices because at the Pack we believe comedy should be inventive and always evolving. The Pack Theater was founded by Miles Stroth (The Family\, Heather & Miles) in 2007 as the Miles Stroth Workshop\, and subsequently evolved into a den of viscerally exciting\, unexpected\, and original comedy. \n \nDuring the Covid-19 pandemic\, The Pack Theater was unable to offer our normal classes which would meet at our theater and class spaces in Hollywood\, CA. As conditions have changed and improved\, we are now once again offering In-Person classes. \nSome classes will still be offered Online. Others will have In-Person options. \nThe 4 week Online classes will require a $50 deposit to reserve your spot\, with the rest due prior to the start of classes. Class size is limited to 12.\nThe 8-week In-person classes will also require a $50 deposit to reserve your spot\, with the rest due prior to the start of classes. Class size is limited to 12. (8 for Miles Level 4) \nNote: We require that all students for our In-Person classes be fully vaccinated or be able to provide a negative Covid test taken within 48hrs of the class. In class we request that students remain masked when not on stage.
