Trails LA County has been established to better connect people with more than 550 miles of beautiful public trails across the County. Trails play a vital role in encouraging and facilitating the outdoor recreation that contributes to our health and wellbeing, providing unparalleled opportunities for equestrians, hikers, mountain bikers, fitness enthusiasts, bird-watchers and anyone else who wants to connect with nature, stay active, and enjoy our local natural beauty.
Trails LA County is a partnership led by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation in collaboration with the National Park Service, California State Parks, the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, the Mountains Restoration Trust and the Catalina Island Conservancy.
The long-term vision for Trails LA County is to continue to expand partnerships to showcase all of the estimated 2000+ miles of official public trails throughout the County! Learn more about our existing partners below and click on the link “Become a Partner Agency” if you operate public trails and want to join Trails LA County.
