Storytime is the Heart and Soul of the Children’s Library
Making reading a fun activity through story time helps to encourage “print motivation”- i.e. the association of story-telling with excitement to develop the idea of reading as a pleasure and not a chore. LAPL Story Time Online as an event can foster a sense that the library is a special place, helping instill in your child(ren) a lifelong love for your local public library. Toddler Story time is not just a fun library activity, but the beginning of what can be a beautiful relationship for your child and your local public library.

Aida’s Artful Adventures @4pm Join Aida for arts-related activities, such as crafts, dances and jokes, via Durant Branch Library’s Instagram and Facebook.

Zumba for Kids 10:30am Kids can Zumba with Lula and Bianca via Zoom, the video conferencing app that will allow you to feel like you’re dancing right along with her.
