UCLA’s CCDC proudly presents our annual showcase, Lotus Steps. This year, dive into the beauty of “Floating Clouds Flowing Water”(行云流水).
行云流水 is a Chinese idiom typically used to describe how the writing of a text flows naturally, like floating clouds and flowing water. Here, we use it to describe the unconstrained energy of Chinese dance, which imbues the qualities of nature in the dancer. We hope the selection of dances in this year’s Lotus Steps evokes images of natural beauty, ranging from coursing streams to expansive tea fields.
今年CCDC的Lotus Steps将以 “行云流水” 为主题,希望能唤起人们对自然之美的想象,从流淌的溪水到广阔的茶田。
