Lake Shrine Self-Realization Fellowship & Meditation Garden founded by Paramahansa Yogananda. Dedicated in 1950, he envisioned a spiritual environment where people from all over the world could come and experience peace of heart and mind.
SRF Lake Shrine is offering an open-air experience of the lake-side meditation gardens, made by advance reservation. Lake-side paths, meditation areas, shoreline docks and Windmill are open. Visitor Center offers cashless sales on select products through a front door kiosk. Gift Shop is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Restroom facilities are open. Handicap facilities are available.
Today, Lake Shrine offers a lakeside Meditation Garden with shrines and waterfalls, a hilltop Temple with weekly inspirational services and meditations, a retreat for silent renewal, and an ashram for monks of Self-Realization Fellowship. All are welcome to come and experience inner and outer peace, and to discover Raja Yoga (Royal Yoga) through the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.

Meditation Garden Entrance: 17190 Sunset Blvd, Pacific Palisades, CA
The Lake Shrine Meditation Gardens are open free of charge, Wednesday through Sunday for guests who reserve in advance. This reservation is for one passenger vehicle.
For organized group visits arriving in a large van or mini-coach, please fill out our Group Tours form.
Two arrival times are offered daily Wednesday through Saturday:
- 10:00am — please arrive between 10:00am and 11:00am
- 1:00pm — please arrive between 1:00pm and 2:00pm
All reserved guests can stay until 4:30pm.
Sunday, because of morning Temple services, one Meditation Garden arrival time is offered:
- 1:00pm — please arrive between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
Masks are required indoors.
Your reservation is for a single car, up to 6 guests.
Gates close at 11am. Guests can stay until 4:30pm.
Onsite parking is limited and on a first-come first-served basis. You may be asked to use nearby street parking.
