The Backstage is a classic bar & grill across the street from Sony Studios. It’s been around for over 80 years making it the oldest bar in Culver City. The Backstage has always been a hangout for studio folks and locals, but now it’s also a favorite destination for parties and celebrations. It’s an old school place…dim lighting, cheap drinks, classic photo booth, cozy firepit and friendly staff. The backstage is open 365 days a year from 11 am – 2 am (10 am open on game days). Large parties are welcome and reservations are free. Never a cover or minimum or hidden extras. Karaoke is great here, even if you’re not a fan.
The kitchen cranks out classic bar food that’s been called the best bar food in Los Angeles 7 days a week until midnight. The food is handmade and it’s one of the few bar kitchens known without a microwave or freezer. The menu is American bar food, done right. The kitchen is open until midnight every night.
The bar offers solid pours and fair prices. Last call is at 1:30am every night. Drink prices haven’t changed for the last 20 years and are the lowest in town. Party reservations are free and there’s never a cover or minimum. The Backstage is the proud home of the Seattle Seahawks in Southern California.
Happy Hour is 7 days a week from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. There’s free parking on Culver Blvd. after 6:00pm. Hours are 11:00am to 2:00am 365 days a year.
