OPEN EVERYDAY- DTLA- Bunker Hill
Angels Flight Railway, the 118-year-old funicular, which takes passengers on a short ride between Hill Street and Grand Avenue on Bunker Hill. Originally opened in 1901, Angels Flight® — the world’s shortest railway — has given more than 100 million rides on its hillside track.
In 2017, the Angels Flight® Railway Foundation selected the Angels Flight® Development Company, LLC, a joint venture led by the ACS Group, to recondition, operate, and maintain the funicular for the next 30 years. Passenger service operations, subject to occasional closures for maintenance, recommenced on August 31, 2017.

The fare is $1.00 each way, and you can purchase a souvenir round-trip ticket for $2.00 to take a piece of history home with you.
A $0.50 Metro fare discount is available for TAP Card users with Stored Value for a one-way trip. You will need to tap your valid TAP Card on the validator located at the Angels Flight® Station House to be granted the discount.

Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, no dogs, big or small, are allowed, with the exception of a seeing eye dog or a papered and vested companion dog.
Is Angels Flight Railway® accessible to a wheelchair?
There are two railway vehicles, Olivet and Sinai.
The railcars and their narrow aisles never were designed for wheeled vehicles. That said, provisions can be made for a wheelchair user to access the Railway from the Upper Station adjacent to the fully accessible, circa-1993 California Plaza (350 South Grand Avenue). The wheelchair user can ride down and up on the modified upper platform on Sinai.
Just let us know about your visit as soon as possible. The Operator in the Station House will be happy to assist any wheelchair users.
