ALL DAY CELEBRATION- Pacific Palisades
The Palisades Americanism Parade Association presents the Diamond Anniversary of the Palisades July 4th Parade in 2023. It’s never too early to donate now or sign-up to volunteer for the 75th annual Parade.

THE PARADE- 2:00pm
In 1948, Harry Truman was President, a gallon of gas cost 16 cents, and the Pacific Palisades Parade had its debut. The Diamond Anniversary of the Palisades July 4th Parade will be held on July 4, 2023, starting at 2:00 p.m. on our traditional parade route through the Pacific Palisades business district. All of your favorites will be back this year: Kids on Bikes, Patriotic Pups, Palisades performing groups and our Palisades service organizations. More Details coming soon!

Kids on Bikes
This Independence Day, The Yogurt Shoppe will continue its decade-long tradition of sponsoring the “Kids on Bikes” unit in the July 4th parade and the “Best Decorated Bike/Scooter Contest” for local Palisades kids.
Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes and come to the parade assembly point for “Kids on Bikes” at 1 pm on July 4th for the opportunity to enter the Best Decorated Bike/Scooter Contest.
All judging will take place at 1:30 pm at the parade start location (in front of Pali Elementary at the corner of Bowdoin and Via de la Paz). Four lucky winners will earn a $50 gift card valid at any TYS store, and have their photos taken before riding in the parade!
Please print, fill in and sign the Participant Waiver and bring it to parade line-up area, and join the rest of the Kids on Bikes/Scooters for a fun time!
The Yogurt Shoppe and parade organizers would love to document this exciting event. Parents/guardians – please take pictures and tag @theyogurtshoppe, #palisades4thkidsonbikes and #PalisadesJuly4.
Please note that all participants must submit a completed release form prior to participating in the parade. Click here for the form
All “Kids on Bikes” participants are asked to meet between 1:00 and 1:15 on July 4th on the sidewalk at Bowdoin near the Palisades Elementary marquee, just below the corner of Via de la Paz. Participants should come with a parent or guardian, who will need to sign a participation form on their behalf and accompany them along the parade route. (This is not a drop-off activity.) Water bottles are recommended, and bike helmets are required. Kids and their guardians/parents may leave the parade at any time along the route.
To ensure everyone’s safety, we ask that the “Kids on Bikes” and their parents/guardians mingle and ride with their fellow Palisadians in a manner that reflects their awareness of those around them – both on and off the parade route – and at a safe rate of speed. The Kids on Bikes participants and their guardians/parents will be directed to go to the Palisades branch of the public library (861 Alma Real Drive) at the end of the parade route, to meet up with members of their family not participating in the parade with them.

Patriotic Pups- meet between 1:00 and 1:45 at Palisades Elementary School
The Patriotic Pups of Pacific Palisades are ready for their 29th annual march in the July 4th parade. Each pup will receive a bandana, water, collapsible water bowl and poop bags from our sponsor, Paws ‘N’ Claws who will be coordinating and leading the Patriotic Pups unit.
Pups will need to be leashed at all times in the Parade, including in the assembly area, and should be well behaved and comfortable in crowds and in the company of other pups, cars, horses and people.
All Patriotic Pups are asked to meet between 1:00 and 1:45 at Palisades Elementary School on the corner of Via de la Paws and BowWowdoin. We urge you to bring water for you and your pup. Some pups like to wear socks if the pavement is hot. You/your pup may leave the parade at any time along the route.
You will be asked to sign a participant form before marching. If you want to print, sign and bring it with you, click here.
To ensure everyone’s safety – both on and off the parade route, we ask that the Patriotic Pups’ pet guardians supervise them at all times and clean up after them, as needed.
We look forward to seeing you and your pup on the 4th. Pet guardians are encouraged to take pictures of their pups in the parade and tag #palisades4thpatrioticpups and #PalisadesJuly4.
