WHAT TO KNOW
The fireworks show on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 starts at 9 p.m. and lasts 20 minutes. This is a popular event, with visitors traveling to the area from throughout the Southland. Plan to arrive as early as 1 p.m. and stay in the Marina to avoid traffic.
HOW TO GET AROUND: See “Getting Here” section below for alternative ways to get around the Marina once you have arrived in town; use these methods for transportation and other water activities to enjoy while you wait for the show.

VIEWS FROM THE SHORE
Enjoy the fireworks show with synchronized music played over loudspeakers at either Burton Chace Park or Fisherman’s Village. The fireworks will be shot from a barge off the Marina’s south jetty. You can view the show from virtually anywhere in Marina del Rey, Venice Pier, Playa Vista and Dockweiler Beach.

PARKING
A special event parking rate ranging from $13 to $20 per vehicle for the public County parking lots in Marina del Rey will apply on July 4th.
GETTING AROUND & STREET CLOSURES

Street closures will start as early as 1:00 p.m. and will continue throughout the day. Please note that the times and locations of street closures are subject to change at any time due to traffic conditions.
On July 4th, the WaterBus will operate from noon until 11 p.m. Your wait time may be longer than the usual.
Get around the Marina by riding Circuit, a five-seat electric shuttle, that you can either wave down when you see or download the RIDE CIRCUIT app on your phone to schedule a pick-up. The cost is $3 per person ($9 max) for up to five passengers.
The free free Beach Shuttle will run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 4th offering another way to travel around the Marina.
A stretch of the Marvin Braude Coastal Bike Trail — from the UCLA Marina Aquatics Center to the southside of the La Ballona Bridge — will be closed 8:30 pm – 10:30 pm.
HOW CAN A RESIDENT OR HOTEL GUEST GET AROUND?
Residents with a valid I.D. card, bill, or vehicle registration showing proof of residence, and hotel guests with valid hotel key cards, will be allowed through road closures – with the following exceptions*:
8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. NO ENTRY on Lincoln Blvd. from Jefferson Blvd. to Washington Blvd.
8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. NO ENTRY on Admiralty Way from Palawan Way to Fiji Way.
