Our 2024 theme, “Celebrating a World of Music: The Universal Language,” encapsulates the very essence of unity through music. President Alex Aghajanian beautifully articulated how music transcends boundaries, uniting cultures, beliefs, and generations. It’s an invitation to a year-long celebration culminating in the Rose Parade—a symphony of diverse genres and cultures converging on New Year’s Day.

Floats meticulously covered in roses, lilies, and orchids—every petal placed with precision, creating stunning masterpieces that captivate the eye and heart. It’s a testament to the dedication and artistry of the creators who transform these floats into vibrant showcases of natural beauty.

But the parade is more than just a visual spectacle. It resonates with the harmonies and beats of marching bands, a legacy tracing back to 1891 when the Monrovia City Band joined the procession. From high schools to military ensembles, the Rose Parade echoes with the melodies of countless musicians, representing a rich tapestry of musical diversity.

Adding to the grandeur are the equestrian units—a majestic part of the parade since its inception in 1890. Witness a spectacular array of horse breeds, each adorned in vibrant costumes, showcasing their grace and style while honoring traditions that have stood the test of time.
