Welcome to Teen Web!
We are offering select services at 50 libraries across the city. Services may include quick browsing, computer access, pick up of holds and mobile printing orders, checking out of materials inside libraries, and Library To Go service.
As we continue our phased reopening, we’re focused on creating safe and welcoming spaces for everyone, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
LAUSD students are automatically assigned a Student Success Card. Don’t know your library card number or PIN? Fill out this form and we’ll look up that information.
LA Teen’Scape
Teen’Scape is the young adult department at the Central Library, providing teens with a place of their own to work on computers, study, read, and relax.
Teen’Scape has a group study area, and more than two dozen computers where teens can do research on library databases, work on homework, or access the internet. The department also has an outstanding collection that includes young adult fiction and nonfiction, graphic novels, manga, test prep materials, college and career guides, Cliffs Notes, classic literature, popular magazines, books on CD, and DVDs.
The LAPL Teen Web is designed especially for teenagers and provides easy access to the library’s most useful online resources for middle and high school students as well as teen-oriented web links, and homework help sites.
Applying for a Library Card
Physical library cards are not being issued at this time. If you live in the County of Los Angeles, you can get immediate access to our collections through an e-card.
Having trouble using your Student Success Card online? Try these tips!
Make sure you are accessing our digital items either through our website (lapl.org) or using our name, Los Angeles Public Library, in the e-media app. Our name is very similar to the Los Angeles County Public Library, so many people make that mistake.
Make sure you are using your library card number (including “SSC” with no dashes or spaces) and PIN, the last four digits of the telephone number in your account. It might be an older number than you expect.
